Jill began her editing career in 1985, as an assistant running around with cans of film and hanging up trims. She was soon allowed to start splicing sequences together and to discover the delights of creating a piece of work in both vision and sound.
For more than 20 years, Jill has edited with the BBC Natural History Unit, Survival, Granada and National Geographic and some of the UK’s top independent production companies. She has edited many programmes in the popular BBC strands Wildlife on One and The Natural World, and worked on blue chip multi-award winning series such as Life of Mammals, Wild Africa and Planet Earth. Jill has received industry accolades for her work including Best Short Film at Jackson Hole for Lake of the Flies, Best of Festival at Missoula for Hokkaido Garden of the Gods and Wildscreen Pandas for Puma – Lion of the Andes and Tiger Magic.
Jill knows that the challenges of editing are as tough as ever but worth it for the satisfaction of crafting a wonderful wildlife film.
