If you want to ENGAGE with NATURE through FILMMAKING and don’t know where to start… Talk to us!

by BristolWildFilm on September 21, 2010

We are Bristol Wildlife Filmmakers and our courses and events are designed to be fun and informative.

Our filming and filmmaking courses are based on location and timed to coincide with a variety of wildlife events. You’ll learn field craft techniques, enhancing the likelihood of close encounters with animals, and hands-on filming experience will sharpen your camera skills. Editing sequences alongside professionals will give you an insight into creating strong stories and compelling narratives. Production workshops are also an important part of our courses and include storytelling, sequence building and the ethics and legal implications of filming animals in the wild.

We can also tailor courses to meet the needs of business and conservation bodies. We offer one-to-one advice on personal film projects and provide guest speakers from the world of natural history filmmaking.

Bristol Wildlife Filmmakers also run day events which take you on a personal and entertaining journey behind the scenes of wildlife filmmaking in the company of the presenters, producers and camerapeople who create the natural history films you watch on TV.  See a review of Wild! Behind the Scenes at Tyntesfield

A student on one of our recent courses described her weekend as:

“A life changing, inspiring experience, something that will stay with me forever. It’s re-established my passion for wildlife filmmaking, nature and conservation.”
